EMPOWERING CHILDREN TO BECOME INFORMED CITIZENSChildren As Media Producers is a Participatory Media initiative of the UNESCO Chair on Community Media at, Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad. It is based on the premise that children should not be seen just as passive consumers but as active producers of information. It seeks to strengthen children's rights, in particular, the rights of linguistic and cultural minorities, and indigenous peoples by providing access to the means of communication.
